
Overview
The Asian Law and Economics Association (AsLEA) welcomes submissions for its 2026 Annual Conference on 9 & 10 June 2026. The conference is organized by Singapore Management University – Yong Pung How School of Law and the Centre for Commercial Law in Asia (CCLA). Please submit your abstract by the deadline 28 February 2026 15 March 2026, 2359hrs SGT. We welcome submissions on any topic related to law and economics.

ASLEA Best Paper Award For Junior Scholars
This year, we will continue with the AsLEA Best Paper Award for Junior Scholars. The purpose of this award is to encourage and recognize outstanding junior law-and-economics scholars. To qualify, the author (and any co-authors) must be current doctoral students or must have completed a PhD (or equivalent doctoral degree) no earlier than six years prior to the Annual Conference submission deadline.
Submission Guidelines
- Format:
- Language: English only.
- Abstract: 500–800 words.
- Full Paper: For those who wish to be considered for the AsLEA Best Paper Award for Junior Scholars, a FULL PAPER is required upon submission.
- Content: Empirical and/or theoretical approaches are welcome. Submissions should pertain to any topic at the intersection of law and economics.
- How to Submit:
- Please submit your abstracts here.
- To be considered for the AsLEA Best Paper Award for Junior Scholars, a FULL PAPER must be submitted in the Google form or to ccla@smu.edu.sg by 28 February 2026. The subject line of the email should indicate “AsLEA Best Paper Award submission”.
- You may submit up to two submissions for consideration, but each individual can present only once as a primary author at the conference (co-authors may present other accepted papers).
Deadlines
- Submission deadline: 28 February 2026, 2359hrs SGT
- Decisions will be announced by the end of March 2026.
- Registration will open in mid-April 2026
